The Bohemian Cemetery of Cedar Rapids was turned over to the trustees of St. Ludmila and St. Wenceslaus Parishes in the late 1870's and named St. Johns Cemetery. Since that time, the two Parishes have been responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of St. Johns Cemetery.
The crucifix with the statue of the Virgin Mary and St. John, pictured above, was erected on the highest point at St. Johns Cemetery inviting visitors to pray and meditate.
