This Sacrament is a celebration of the faith community and is celebrated during weekend liturgy.

Baptism Preparation classes are offered and need to be taken prior to scheduling a Baptism. Both parents are strongly encourage to participate in the class. Please make necessary arrangements for child care.

1.)  Religious Education Program

2.) Holy Family Schools or another Catholic school, for at least one year prior to preparing and receiving the Sacrament

Confirmation is the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Its effects are to:

• Root us more deeply in our relationship with God
• Unite us more firmly to Christ
• Increase the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us
• Strengthen our bond with the Church
• Associate us more closely to our mission of bearing witness to Christ
• Help us to spread and defend the faith by word and deed

Youth must have attended and participated in either:

1.)  A  Religious Education program

2.)  Attended Xavier High School or another Catholic high school, for one year prior to Confirmation.

Weddings are scheduled with respect to the couple’s wishes, and the availability of the church building and pastor.  Weddings are usually scheduled on Saturdays, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm.  This allows sufficient time for the parish to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Saturday evening Liturgy. 

Couples are expected to contact the priest of St. Ludmila at least eight months in advance of the date on which they hope to celebrate their wedding, a year is preferable.
