Pro-Life With Love

The mission of the Pro-Life With Love group is: "to educate the parishioners of St. Ludmila to the Pro-Life movement.  Our intent is to heighten awareness and motivate parishioners to a Pro-Life lifestyle."

Pro-Life With Love was formed in the summer of 1997.  Since that time, the group has been very visible in both the parish and community.

One of the committee's most visible projects is the Pro-Life sign on I-380 South, which reads: "God is Pro-Life. Are you?"  The group sold cookbooks and t-shirts to raise the funds needed to produce the sign, which was erected in 1999.

Another noticeable project is the "Maternal Bond" sculpture and memorial garden.  The sculpture was created by Canadian Timothy P. Schmultz, and commemorates all children who have died.

Surrounding the sculpture is a memorial garden, where those who have lost a child to death -- from any cause -- have a place to grieve.  Bricks along the border of the garden contain the names of children who have died.

How you can get involved...

The group holds monthly adoration, rosary, and prayers for Pro-Life from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on the second Friday of each month in the Eucharistic Chapel. All are welcome. Check the bulletin for more information. You can also become involved by sending the group an e-mail at: prolife@stludmila.org.
