    FLOOD EMERGENCY HELP:

At present we don't have any requests from parishioners seeking help to move belongings or themselves to safety.  If you would be willing to help do that now or after the flood resides, please email Fr. Tom with your name, phone number, and days/times you are available to be called upon.  As requests come in, we will contact volunteers.

If you will need help, please contact the parish office -- 362-7282. We will do what we can to connect you with the assistance that is available.

    HOW YOU CAN HELP:
If you are willing to volunteer to help senior citizens, our neighbors in the Time Check neighborhood and/or Palo move their very important belongings from basements to higher levels - Serve the City is operating from Hus Presbyterian Church and can use your assistance.  Physical lifting is a part of the job so please observe age levels.  You may call 378-0337.  They have two lines operating and will be glad to take your contact information.  If the lines are too busy, please email them at serve@servethecity.org

    SAND BAGGING:
The City of Cedar Rapids indicates that they need folks from 10 p.m. until morning to fill sand bags.  If you have folks that want to do this - here are the directions to the warehouse.  Go to 1201 6th St. SW - drive into the lot and out the back side - you are now on 4th St. SW  Turn right and go to the large overhead door between 12th Avenue and 14th Avenue SW.
